The School of Electronic, Electrical and Communication Engineering (EECE) of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is cooperatively-run by the Institute of Electronics, Institute of Acoustics, Institute of Microelectronics, Institute of Electrical Engineering, Institute of Semiconductors, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), etc., and the main campus.

Under the policy of “School-Institute Integration”, the educational management of the students from different institutes and the main campus is undertaken by EECE uniformly. Our degree programs aims to address social and technical needs of the 21st century, which includes 3 primary disciplines, namely Information and Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, and Electrical Engineering. These carefully designed programs guarantee a multi-dimensional and holistic education and research that prepares science and technology for our graduates.

The integration with the appropriate institutes of CAS strengthens the teaching faculty, course system and research environment of EECE. Currently, the faculty of our school has more than thirty CAS Members & CAE Members and more than one hundred winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China.

EECE emphasizes social responsibility and international perspective to the needs and interest of our students. The career opportunities for our graduates are promising with abundant choices. Most graduates work at universities, government institutions, world-leading enterprises, etc., and some even started their own businesses and got great success.
